Where the perspective comes from

The through-line is execution: learning what works in the field, shaping transformation programs, building operating systems that create useful, lasting change.

01

Field operations

Oilfield services · Alberta, British Columbia, Texas

I started in oilfield service operations, working on hydraulic fracturing crews across Alberta and British Columbia. For several years, I worked 15-day rotations in remote environments before moving into a coordination role in Texas, where I oversaw jobs across five crews, including equipment, materials, and client requirements. Those years on complex, high-pressure, multi-million-dollar field jobs shaped how I think about plans: they only matter if they survive and adapt to real-world conditions.

02

Transformation consulting

McKinsey & Company · Cross-industry transformations

I later moved into management consulting at McKinsey & Company, working on analytics-heavy transformations across energy, mining, manufacturing, and telecom. My work covered establishing performance systems, building improvement tools, executive materials, and supporting implementation with client teams. Those years reinforced the importance of an ownership mindset, clean and structured data, a methodical approach, and clear storytelling.

03

Digital portfolio leadership

Gaming media · GameRant, TheGamer

From there, I led digital strategy and portfolio operations across gaming media brands including GameRant and TheGamer, where I completed a full restructuring and built performance management tools, operating cadences, content economics, unit economics, and clearer decision routines.
